Started with Desire many years ago and has since only been driving most of the Samsung models.
Now I was tired of it by poor build quality that Samsung offers in terms of location, etc.
Now back to HTC and I have no regrets!
Comfortable to hold.
Cruel quality feel.
That one even manufactures phones in plastic in 2014 ....
Have now had the phone for about two years.
The phone is still in the game. Snapchat, Instagram, etc. clockwork. The only bad thing is the battery life and camera. The camera is good enough for Snapchat but offers no stunning images .. Slow autofocus on and to open the Camera app. Like strong HTC's software and that they continued to update it.
Driven iPhone in 5 years but were hungry for something new. The only thing I miss is a hook with the same quality feel as the iphone clean construction wise, until now.
In brief - super fast at all times, cruel picture and sound (built-in 2.5 V headphone amplifier!), Impressive camera with ufocus (creates a nice depth of field).
Significantly better than eg S5 in graphics performance. Perfectly okay battery life and sjysst energy mode.
Clock Fair to have 128 gb memory card!
Minus: 4mp camera provides no sensible digital zoom
Apputbudet (especially games) are better and more easily navigable on iOS. Both good and bad that Android is more open platform, but there is clearly more skitappar and copies it may plow through.
Had a 3 year old HTC before this, so the difference was great. Liberating with pages that answer directly when you click on them o networks responsible blixtersnabbt. Was also grateful that I recognize most of the time so I do not need to spend hours learning to find in the handset. Love hand, the luxury M8-ball gives me when I hold it in your hand o speed the answers with. Got it yesterday, yet I can not give any more detailed review, but hit until I am in any case superdupernöjd with it.
Has now had it a few weeks and remains superdupernöjd with it. So blixtersnabb in the surf that it is quicker to surf from your phone than from our broadband. The pages are there in principle as fast as you click o it is a huge relief with a phone that responds so quickly.
Criticism've been bad camera, but as usual, many believe that the higher the pixels the better the images, which of course is far from the whole truth about the good picture quality. Has now been doing o shoot with the right very few days o also used the built-in editing software. Has deliberately let the camera decide to see what its auto software capable o I give it def. clearly approved. Do not, however, tested o print the images, but such I do not, other than in exceptional cases anyway (too expensive to keep the o print images simply) but I have published the pictures on forums o they are well accepted both in extremely bright situations in the dark.
The camera's built-in editing is significantly more advanced than it seems at first glance, o you can adjust a lot with it. Likewise, one can choose o set the camera on the values ??that you want the photo shoot will take place o one can also save your own favorite settings. So no camera is def. not as bad as some tester says in his criticism, but it has great potential for adjustments o provides enough good shots to capture the daily o post them on various social media.
Is ff. equally pleased with the mobile as when I bought it. It gives me a really nice luxurious feel in the hand. The answer superfast o are easy to find in - simply user. The camera is absolutely ok o will do more than enough for my needs. I want to take images that are suitable for large prints, I would still never used the cell phone to take pictures with. The two built-in speakers is also an exemption for me who have problems with ear exam o not handle lurking o Well I have tried lots of different varieties o nothing works more than very short periods. Ok, I probably would not choose to listen to music but when I connect it to a few speakers, but for listening to an audiobook is quite ok when I go my walks. It has IR O can be used as a remote control for the TV.
The downside is that it only has 16GB of memory. It is certainly to insert memory cards of up to 128GB but it is not so much one can force over to a memory card if one is not more experienced user o embarks on the O roota cell phone, which I absolutely do not dare because I do not have anyone who can help me if it goes wrong o when you lose the guarantee. But this is too small internal memory is actually the only thing I see as a disadvantage. Though if it were water resistant also had not been entirely wrong.
Anyway, I said was extremely pleased with my mobile o it feels like a luxury to own it o I think this is a mobile, I will be happy with long before I consider myself having to switch me to a new one.
After 1 year o 3 months, I ff. as happy with it as when I bought it. Have ff. absolutely no need for another new mobile phone, without the M8: an working seq. as good as when I bought it. This is undoubtedly the best purchase I ever made for any technical gadget, so even though the price has been worth every penny. :-)
It was initially not thought that it would be the HTC M8. The goal was set at the upcoming Sony Z2 but when the release date was postponed, I decided to instead choose M8, and I'm still happy with that choice!
Most recent phones I have owned the HTC One X and Iphone 4s so it is mainly these I compare with.
As for the actual feeling of quality beats the 4s. M8 wins at the luxurious look and its beautiful shape. M8 has the "right" weight and is very comfortable to hold. Comparing Iphone 4s so it's like night and day. I get more or less chafing of 4s with its sharp edges. HTC One X comes last when it feels rather plasticky.
Performance-wise, I must say I was surprised. Pleasantly surprised! Everything is going extremely quickly! Very lovely and soft feel to use apps, phone, etc.. It beats the One X and 4s by a large margin, but it should probably also when the hardware is better. But still, it IS lashes!
Another surprising thing is the battery. Here I was worried that it would be like the One X but I was wrong. It's been almost 30 hours and the battery is at 51%! Then I have still been using it a lot, eg listening to music, calling, surfing the net, photographed, etc.. In this context, I should add that the battery life is certainly affected by the app Advanced Task Killer as automatic shut down apps running in the background. But on the other hand, I had the same apps on HTC One X and there was only one day of battery usage.
The camera is good but no more. Now, I have not photographed that much but if I had to choose today had the choice has fallen on the Iphone 4s.
The rating is 9/10. The failure to do so the star is due to the camera that should have been better in this price range.
Those were my comments so far. Will come back maybe later with more comments.
I'm really, really happy with my HTC One M8.
Have several years running iPhone; First 3G, then 4s. Previously not for my life imagined that switching to android; partly because I have experienced iOS as much "cleaner" and the hardware itself for many android phones do not have the same quality feel.
But then I saw the HTC One M8 ... I mean wow. Here are some pros and cons:
+ Build Quality. The first handset I've stayed in, comparable to the iPhone both in appearance and in feeling when holding it. Troubled nicely with aluminum, cruel comfortable to hold in. It is neat fat simply and you do not feel cheated that it has added 6,000 bucks on a phone (which I had done for example Samsung Galaxy s5, "so very money for a piece of plastic ").
+ Screen. So it is fantastic. Do not know how many comments I have received about it. Razor-sharp. Regarding color, see below.
+ Size. Experiencing 5 inches as just right and then I still from 3.7 inches before. Sure it's a little awkward to handle the phone with one hand, but I did probably not before nor since I have not even thought about it. Have not had any problems getting it down in here (might have big pockets, what do I know).
+ Battery life. Lasts all day despite pretty heavy use with very tablet, camera usage and overall pill.
+ Speaker and Boom Sound. The speakers are insanely good, but I can not compare to the predecessor model, since I have not had it. They are in any case better than I thought mobile speaker could be. Boom Sound has been turned on for me all the time, and I actually like the base it provides. Some little "rattling" sound found in some songs and clips amplified sometimes just to much and then I turn off, but otherwise, Boom Sound on.
+ Wake up your phone by tapping on the screen. Because the button located on the top, it's very easy when you are already in the phone. Facing the bottom can just as well use the button and therefore I do not miss the opportunity to wake up by knocking in landscape mode.
+ Memory Card Slot. Should iofs by today's standards to be a given, 16 gb will not long on. Have put a 64 gb and there is now stored all my spotifyspellistor and images. There have been some mixed opinions on whether it is possible to store apps and data on the memory card in the kit kat, and a bit of hassle, it was at first but now I have no problem.
+ Included tpu case. The small plug covering the USB jack and 3.5mm plug does not really fit for me but leave them open, but otherwise I am sick pleased with the case and think it's really founded by htc to send it for free. When I got my there was a more than limited selection, so the included case has been great now before I could get something better.
+ Software. Experiencing the sense that very stylish, and it floats on the crazy good. I who have always claimed to android must be messy may eat it up now, it's not messy anywhere actually. The choices with android is absolutely gorgeous.
+ Camera. Know that it has been much criticized, and sure, it does not take HD pictures but it is crazy fast and for normal usage (facebook, instagram, blogging) is good enough image quality is absolute. I do not use dual cam feature that much, only sometimes when I play a bit with uFocus (ie the possibility of a subsequent "refocus" the image thanks to the secondary camera). uFocus is also a fun feature, but not particularly useful.
- The volume buttons. They are both pretty ranglinga, which is a great pity when the phone is so solidly built, incidentally. It is also easy to access them (especially with tpu sleeve on) when you bring up or stops down the phone in your pocket for grasping the phone right over them.
- The color reproduction. This does not bother me much, but still: the screen has a high saturation, making the images of the phone have very bright colors. May find that the saturation is a little too high. Photos that I edited is sometimes rather high saturation before and they are not especially beautiful on the phone.
Do not really know where to start .....
But start with that I bought last year's HTC One, a phone that already then in my eyes was a success.
So after reading all about this new HTC One M8 and impatient waiting for the day they had to put the order has been a nuisance ....
But now that it leverarats and has it in his hand so I lack words to describe its quite exceptional shape ....
This new replacement is when I look at it and have it in my hand a phone that exudes premium ..... feels like premium and premium throug .....
This is the best phone I have had the honor to own, and I have for the mobile phone's years of development had more phones than I can remember ....
This is a phone that truly makes one feel that the price is reflected in finischen, its beauty, premium feel and straight through quality .....
Also after a first day with the could not see the slightest tendency towards inertia.
It has what you have driven or as usual with me, just feed running programs and switch back and forth .....
Can only say for myself that this is the first and only phone I do not feel that I lack or hook me up on something ......
Can only thank HTC for this wonderful phone that just got better this year.
And that is saying a little while already created the world's best mobile phone last year ....
Just taking off his hat and say .... HTC you have outdone yourselves by being able to surpass and top last year's success .... thank you for an absolutely magical phone .....
Went from HTC ONE M7 to this.
The best phone got even better.
Really good phone. But some things that allows it to get nine stars.
+ Incredibly Fast
+ No barnsjukdommar
+ A rear protection supplied.
+ Really good speakers.
-Mass "crap" apps that you do not want is preinstalled. Not to deselect.
- Blink feed
Having owned a Desire Z (my first android) a long time ago so I return today to HTC again. How does it feel? I can tell you if you continue to read a little.
Have only owned it for a few days so far, so have most bit first impression.
But I can just start by saying whitefish hit! Here we have the hardware (aluminum) and software (Sense 6) that plays better together than anything else. Both Dera very beautiful together in a perfect symbiosis. Have previously thought that Sony has the freshest interface but I think that HTC today has taken over the throne jiggle. Very flat and modern interface.
May well begin by saying a negative thing for me and it's power button placement on top of the handset. But this is fairly irrelevant in view of the smart features that HTC has put into this phone (which is not m7 may in its Sense version 6).
The features I'm talking about is how to wake up the phone:
-Double taps to only turn on the lock screen and make notes
-Swipe up to unlock your phone
-Swipe right to unlock and access the Blink Feed
-Swipe left to always get to the home screen even if another app was in the foreground
-Swipe down for voice control
This makes you almost never need to use the power button (except when the phone is stationary, it must be picked up in your hand to these scans to work). If you also like me running a custom ROM, I have added a function so that a 3-finger swipe down anywhere blanks the screen. But that is another story and is not supported in stock version unfortunately although there are other 3-finger gestures to use.
The interface is as I said very flat, clean and modern and pared down from unnecessarily graphic kind of frippery. Nothing to complain about here. Theme aid could be more prevalent and change more things. But even that can be found in the custom ROM if desired.
Even small details are held around the interface doing a bit of the big picture. The little animation when you delete a message thread. The thing that happens when you receive a text while you're in kameraappen. The whole image and get a kind of water effect. Lacking, however an animation when you go back to the home screen.
Like that you can block the number from reaching one. Perfect against those tough phone sellers. And "secure box" in meddelandeappen where you can put pin to reach the selected threads that you want to protect transparency to if desired. Buy your weed on the sly! ;)
The flow is extremely good too. I own a Nexus 5 also as a yardstick floating on Android. M8 is not far behind Nexusflytet which actually surprised me a bit. Sense 6 floats on really really well on the M8. Not quite as good at M7'an which I also own. But M8'an is furious fast and the hacks not to very often. The phone flies. Responsiveness almost match the Nexus though it is a modified interface with extra features. It's a bit impressive.
Beats, they have taken away now. But replaced it with something called "Boom Sound". Avoid Boom Sound in headphones at any price. It ruins the sound TOTAL. When was the Beats actually better. Boom Sound can not be shut down without headphones but that does not matter. It will probably do well for external speakers. But in headphones, it sounds totally poop and destroy sound something terrible.
I have instead flashed into the mod "Harman Kardon Edition" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2737498) as Sprint in the U.S. has some variation of that someone has torn out so clearly. Harman Kardon "Clafi-Fi" actually makes plenty of sound for certain music. It becomes a little clearer and sounds less "dull. Nevertheless, it is a little too much emphasis on the highs and too little on the lows. So it becomes a little weak with bass and too much treble. Some argue that one can put Viper4Android and adjust up the bass EQ there. There is a "Live Tage" function too but it destroys the sound in the headphones it with in my opinion. But I actually listen mostly with things off. Likes the sound is good as it is without any modifications.
MOREOVER music very well in this phone. It plays louder sound in headphones than any other phone on the market! For the first time, I need no sound modification that allows a higher maximum of the volume. Tests also show extremely good performance sonically across the whole range. So it may well classify as an "audiophile" hook even though I think those should not stick to just phones maybe. But it offers virtually the best sound you can get out of a phone today with iPhone. HTC has, however, removed all kopplinar to Androids native EQ. How would you change the sound may make use of any modification.
Then we have the sound from the external speaker. Very clear and nice sound. No missed notifications here do not. It sounds as clean as it brings out flaws in notofikationsljud that you have not heard on other phones (Facebook messenger sounds, for example).
Then I think actually if their subtle but clear touch sound when you touch the screen. Does it actually on this handset for they have thought for a bit. No noise but most satisfying in any way. Same thing all the sounds of the camera. Extremely clear and pleasant to listen to. They have thought to even on this front.
Shall we talk some hardware too, we can start with the screen. It is absolutely fantastic. Very bright. No problems out in the summer sun. Although viewing angles are extremely good for LCD and actually begin to sniff Amoled in the tail. It is a delight to the eyes. No bleeding what-so-ever for that matter. Perfectly uniform backlighting.
The body is equally superb. Mostly aluminum and damn it feels premium! A beautiful hardware. Even though it is larger than the M7 so it is very comfortable to hold thanks to much rounder design. It is extremely good in the hand and nothing that can be "cut" into the skin. My copy is perfect except a little loose volume button that seems to be very common. But it does not sound even if I shake the phone so it's no bother me. Great build quality overall.
In addition to all this, on the mobile me to photograph! Kameraappen is so amazingly good and fast so it is a blast to shoot with. Not had this fotosug with any other phone. There is even a fully manual mode with manual focus / shutter and everything. Wonderful! The focus and the shutter is extremely fast, even in the dark. It focuses directly and ponds of the photo in the moment you touch the screen. Photos will be fine though tend to be a bit overexposed in auto mode. In the darkness shines the darkness when the photos are a strong side. Many people complain only 4mp but how many are doing more than posting to your face / instagram? Then only the pixels well. The main thing that it's fun to shoot and it will be good photos. It is worth more than a few extra megapixels that you really still have no use for most.
Battery life? Good. Despite 2600mAh compared to competitors so keep it very well. 6-7 hours of screen time on one charge usually end up on my part. Sense feels resource efficient despite its excellent performance. No problem to go 2 days on a single charge.
Right now I have well nothing more to say. Will return perhaps with a bit more extended thoughts in the future.
