Was very happy with this phone until the door was broken to the charge.
In connection with that the door would be repaired discovered a moisture damage after which Sony says that it is no longer covered by warranty.
Briefly, the IP68-rated phone gets water damage as a result of the seals is despite the closed doors, it is the insurance company to get contact.
Besides this mishap I'm pleased with the phone. Battery life is superb. But if you, as I rely heavily on waterproof phones so you get maybe look elsewhere.
After 3 years with the iPhone, so I switched to end. I weighed the various Android handsets to each other and Sony won for tidiness and water density, and above all the good camera.
The first thing I noticed was how often they are forced to restart your phone. Program hangs and crashes, it might be something general for Android, but earlier iPhone users, it felt strange.
The magnetic contact is good thought, but why not follow the magnetic charger with the phone when you buy it ?!
The cover of the USB connector feels fragile, which means that you quickly feel obligated to buy the magnetic charger.
Then what really pulls down the grade ... Why glass back? Friends of Xperia phones've finally managed to crack either the back or in the worst case the front and then lost all or part of the functionality of the screen, unlike other manufacturers which crack can occur without screen stops functioning.
In my case, burst now back.
The included protective plastic has been pretty good up front now for several months, but fell back quickly after one week.
If you buy this phone, buy a heavy shell and magnetic contact at once, otherwise it's a matter of time before you lose water density.
+ Magnetic Switch
+ Stylish and comfortable in the hand
+ The camera takes in the right light very beautiful pictures
- Glass Back as easy to crack
- Magnetic Contact is not included with the purchase
Really good handset
The first "flag ship" for me.
+ Really love that it is IP68 classified
+ Camera is great but only if you set the settings
+ Battery life, have in the colloquial position never reached over 40%
+ Stamina and ultra stamina modes
+ Magnetic charger
+ Fast camera start
-Space Can be a problem, but the SD card.
-Magnetisk Charger costs extra
-Kamerans Manual mode need unlocking remove a star for it
-Luren Is a bit slippery
-Do Not Sony's own programs as lifelog and Sony Select
-Not The highest volume
-Rekommenderas Not to salt water (big minus)
EDIT: After about 1 month, no major damage appeared to on the phone and have dropped it a few times in the floor (about 0.5m), however, it is back a little scratched, not a huge problem because I get shell
Edit2: after approximately 1-2 months went headphone output down, got were of course repair on the warranty, but after a month of repair could mend broken in the same way'll see if this also goes on guarantee
Must say I rarely been as happy with an electronic device like this. Bought it for 3v ago and have felt and squeezed on it a lot.
My requirement was to find a phone that is easy to use with one hand, had good hardware (processor, frame etc.) And a good camera (to sit on a mobile). With those criteria, it was that struck me and I do not regret it.
Some positive points
+ High-end phones in smaller size (in today's standards).
+ Everything in the interface flows flawlessly and everything is quick to start / load, no trends of "lag" or the like (which I experienced in my previous smartphones).
+ Battery life, have never had to recharge during the day even though I had 7-8 hours screen time someday. Two-day battery life is probably reasonable for many "normal users". If you drive Sony's STAMINA mode to get enough out a good deal more besides.
+ It feels solid built and is simple yet beautiful to me.
+ Waterproof! Not so often it will be used but once it does, it's really nice.
+ You can access the 3.5mm audio output jack and charging (with dock) without having to open any gaps despite the fact that it is waterproof.
+ The camera performs very well for being a camera phone in 2014, one needs however, sometimes poking at some settings to get good pictures.
+ Wireless Screen Sharing with my Sony Bravia TV works really well
+ I like Sony's interface where it does not feel like they've changed too much on the "original-android". Although relatively few bundled apps (bloatware) that you can not uninstall if you would like.
Can not recommend this Xperia theme that I feel neat and stylish: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.candl.xperia.theme.l (there is also a gratisverion)
Some less good points according to me
-It Does not come with any doll (or similar) to charge the phone without opening the door, feels a bit stingy for a phone for 4-5k.
-Autoläget On camera settings, I think many times gives a less good results but you may be inside and poke at "manual" settings to get to the pictures in some environments.
-Volymkontrollerna Sits quite low which means that you can not access them when you put it in the multi-car holder.
-It Was extremely slippery in the beginning, a little better now that probably some of the surface treatment "worn off"
I am really happy and the phone feels really rap. My earlier after about 6-12 months started to get really dull (even after a factory reset), I hope this does not recur with this but only time will tell.
My has in any case managed by a fall to the floor and I hope I do not have any cracked as some seem to have had bad luck with.
I can only recommend this phone if you're after a sharp phone in a "smaller" format!
Bought my phone in dec -14, has had the iPhone 4S and the HTC Desire before.
I would have liked Merga an iPhone with a good Android to get the ultimate tool, but that's not the world out unfortunately. Like Android for freedom and means. Like the iPhone for other things, including their cruel sense of quality. But, now the Z3 Compact:
+ Battery life
+ Screen; good light, good sharpness, cruelly sensitive (verging on too sensitive)
+ Desktop charger that also can be used as stand in the car and then the phone becomes a cruel GPS.
- The sound (not as good as the iPhone how much I want)
- Slippery as hell, a must to have proper covers and happy bumber!
- Camera; the camera is not shit, BUT .. I'm no rookie with cameras, but this is so much Blaj so I think it's difficult to get good pictures. I like Canon / Samsung image, and Sonyn is a bit more frugal in the colors.
- Flash / lamp is a joke.
- Sony's all skitappar located with and takes place.
- The fact that most shells you buy to be removed if it is to download the desktop charger.
- There is no reason Sony to the Compact, the enabling wireless charging.
When I bought the phone had the KitKat (4.4) but I was early with the upgrade to Lollipop (5.0). Seems that the phone was better during the KitKat.
Really pleased with the Z3.
+ Software support
- Glass Back
- Gaps in charge port
Can not say other than that I am very happy with my purchase. After a period of shilly-shallying back and forth so the choice fell on the Z3 compact. This is my fourth Xperia (X10, ARC, SP) and the absolute best so far. It makes me happy with the phone's size and that it failed to exploit as much surface area to the screen of the phone. My wife has a compact Z1 and when they lie face down, it is worth separating them despite the fact that the Z3 Compact 0.3 "larger screen.
As jobs mobile, I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and compared with the Z3's are compact superior. Although Sony has its own version of android but it is one of the better ones I've tried (pure lollipop 5.1 included).
Battery life is fantastic and the screen has very good color rendition and feels in my eyes sharper than that of the Galaxy S5. What is reassuring is that Sony has announced that it will release Lollipop for Xperia Z which probably means that this will encourage more software updates from Sony.
The back and cover laddporten I look a bit like a minus. Both these parts feels fragile. But it is possible to buy a dock to charge the bed and on alibabaexpress are several different types of magnet wires that make it possible to use the external laddporten.
Lousy, slipped down to the floor from nattduksbordetbordet (20 cm) due to the smooth surface. Was a small crack in the display (which I could have lived with) but the touch is completely dead across the screen surface. The phone is now completely useless and shit cost 2000 to cook (almost like a new phone!) This of course then Sony takes lots of spare parts.
Because it is a pin damage will most probably not go on the warranty or equivalent. This course is examined for safety.
Because shit cracks so insanely easy (my girlfriend has a similar, her burst after 1 week) we get the wretched phone the vilest grade. A cell phone should well be dropped from 20 cm without irreparably damaged?
So damned miserable!
Very convenient to buy used now, for SEK 2000 or less. To buy new phones for 3500 kr and upwards seems unreasonable when the development is so rapid. If instead you buy last year's best flagship Used saves hundreds of dollars for each purchase (approximately every three / four years?). Higher priority than that, the cell phone does not have.
Z3C has good screen, good camera phone, good size, very good performance for the price and size, really good battery life, battery save modes of varying degrees of adventure without power, water resistance, memory card reader, color LED for notification.
Negative: prefer the power button on the top edge. The volume buttons are just too far down on the right side. Prefer headphone jack on the right side of the top edge.
Tips for owners:
Adapter to connect standard Micro USB cable to the phone's magnetic charging connector can be bought cheaply on the example. ebay. It's good because you would otherwise have to open the door each time, which is both fiddly and possibly fömsämrar door water resistance.
Upgrade to the latest Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) from the current 5.1.1 is said to come in February.
Love it! After my Samsung got the chair I swapped out to the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and boy was I happy! Best phone I have ever had. Super Great Phone.
