A router with good features, but I do not know if I run into an odd-ex, i need to restart it about once a week, which bothers me. WiFi link is up but DHCP and routing is turned off. Must see if I can find any useful information.
In summary: Inexpensive but ugly.
Replaced a good 6 years old D-link DIR-655 against this, mainly because I wanted the 5 Ghz as well. Have also a TP-Link AP (901) in the past and it works as it should.
My 4300 has hardware version 1.7 and I'm running right now TP-Link's latest firmware 3.14.1 Build 140916 Rel.67118n. Have tried with DD-WRT, but then changed back support for hw 1.7 does not seem to be completely bug-free (?).
Ugly polished plastic and twice as big as a "premium" router, with the diet spirit iofs only SEK 590, so "what you pay is what you get."
Edit: After doing some firmware changes were problems with sick slowly wlan. The problem was solved by a 30-30-30 reset (Google it ...) and I then started with a "Quick Setup" before I made my own settings. Also closed by "Hardware NAT" which apparently can "slow down".
Unfortunately, no data on what is coming up in the LAN, but on Bredbandskollen via 100 Mbit / s fiber I get the following bandwidth of 2 meters: 80 Mbit / s (2.4G / 40MHz / n-only) and 94 Mbit / s (5G / 40MHz / n only). Wire Switched Ethernet work well experienced (96 Mbit / s).
